I am just sick today... I'm sick of being gone from home and not staying home and getting things done around here. My house is sloppy, my van looks like a tornado tore through it and my laundry hampers are full of dirty clothes. Not that I've been slacking, we just haven't been home. Tomorrow I want to fix that. I want to get up, get more laundry going, I started some today but have to leave to go sit with Rochelles kids. I want to clean out the van. I want to get the bills paid for the week, get my floors swept. I have this list running over and over in my head of all these things I really need to do. I did get up today, load the washer, and dish washer and fold a load of laundry. I wiped the kitchen down, which really made me feel a bit better. I need to clean out the fridge badly. I have some leftovers that need pitched and my shelves could use a wipe down.
I have been gone so much we are leftover DRY. I am out of things cooked up to eat, so tonight Bill requested BLT's so I think that's what we will have. I do have a few maters to get used up, cant think of a better way to use them. Yum! We also have lots of cooked up corn on the cob to re heat too. Bill wants fries. I think I can handle that!
There is soooo many things I cant do on my own right now because of my broken arm. It really frustrates me when I have to ask for help all the time. Heck I can't even jump into the shower because Bill has to stretch the rubber ring on my cast protector sleeve just to fit the darned thing in it! I also cant squeeze out my shampoo or soap or conditioner, or shave both legs, or wash my entire body alone. I feel like a damn baby! He's so graceful about it all and never once complains... okay, so never complains much, unless I have a LIST of things for him to do when he gets here that I've added to all day, then he gets a little ornery about it, but mostly cause he can't even read the list cause I'm left handed and cant write right handed!
Well as much as I'd love to stick around and chat today, I really have to hop off here and get Brody up and around. Time to head out of here for the day.

Klutz
Sunday night I was watering my flowers. Bill was out pushing Brody on the swing set and Cole was in the bedroom playing Wii with Megan. I kicked at the hose, lost my balance and fell backwards off the deck. When I fell I landed sideways with my left side of my face hitting the patio chair, I slammed into it so hard. Bill came running over and knew I was badly hurt. I got up and assessed the situation and we both decided we needed a trip to the emergency room. I knew something was broke, either my arm, face or both?
Three hours, cat scan, and x-rays later, it was decided I buggered up my face pretty badly, road rashed the left side of my body, broke my arm, so they sent me home with a temporary cast with orders to call the surgeon.
We picked up the boys from Jennys and headed back to the farm for some family time together! They were happy to see us, but even happier to get naked and play in the sprinkler! Oh the joys of childhood!!!
We had a lovely evening! We went to Carthage to move the garage sale poles & ladders to Jennys for their sale today. Then we swung by Jeremy & Cassies for a few minutes & the kids played.
Home sweet home... there's nothing like ending the day with the ones you love all tucked tight in their beds!
Today I'm relaxing. My arm is swollen and sore and I'm trying not to do too much to aggravate it. I hate pain medicine, so I'm trying not to take it, but sometimes at night I have to, to be able to sleep. I've enjoyed catching up on my DVR, which is a good thing cause I'm down to 19 hours remaining, and that's not good! I like to have at least 30-40 hrs left! I just have soooo much to catch up on. I'm more active than ever, so I don't sit still long enough to watch much tv anymore. I also turned the leftover pot roast into beef and noodles for our supper tonight. That, and a couple loads of laundry is about all I got accomplished today. I'm a lazy old bum today! Looks like I will be this way for awhile till this arm heals up.

I went to surgeon on Tuesday and found out that I don't have to have surgery! That's awesome news! I did have to leave sporting a new friend for a couple months...
Tuesday afternoon we closed on our old house, it's SOLD! Bill n I dropped the boys off at moms and headed to Hannibal for a Kruger convention. We had dinner at Fiddlesticks, it was yummy, met with other dealers and the President of the company and had a few drinks, then we went back to the room for some sleep! Wednesday morning we got up, had breakfast and checked into the meeting. We took a break for lunch, which the company provided and then finished off the afternoon with meetings. Kruger is such an awesome company, they paid for it ALL! We spent $10.02 on water guns for the boys and a jug for my mom to take golfing! Bill and I had a really nice time together and had such a loving talk on the way home. I love that man more and more each day, I am so blessed to have him walking by my side in life! Leaving the cool hotel was such a shock...

all these accomplishments!
Our Garage sale is over. I made right at $100 and got rid of a lot of stuff. I am happy to have it over with and the stuff out of my house. I am grateful that I didn't have to bring a bunch of crap home either! I have just a few things on hangers to take to Jenny's to put into her garage sale next weekend. I hope they sell just so I don't have to pitch them!
I was going to go out and do karaoke for a bit tonight, but I am too pooped. I just don't have the energy to go! I decided to stay home and continue to clean my house up and get organized for the week. Tomorrow night we are having a small cookout for Jerry & Marilyns 45th wedding anniversary. Just a few family members are coming out and we will have a nice visit and just enjoy being together to celebrate their 45 years! It's supposed to be a scorcher, so we will more than likely be inside just chilling out and keeping cool!
I really really feel amazing. I am so happy with myself and how awesome I feel now. I have all this energy, it comes out of nowhere and I am like the energizer bunny. I just keep doing one more thing, and then one more thing and things actually get done, finished and organized. It makes me feel amazing to be so in order and focused on what needs to be done. I am busy all the time, but I am enjoying it and not sluggish all the time or wanting to sleep or be a bum. I enjoy being active and busy and I enjoy all this time with the boys and this summer has been awesome so far!
I've made the decision to go back into my Undercover Wear business. I want to start doing a couple parties a month again. Something to get out and do. Something to make a couple extra hundred bucks a month. Just some extra fun and income and something to do to make me feel good about myself. I think I will feel better if I can start bringing in some bacon again. I feel kinda worthless now. Bill insists that just knowing I am here when he does need me is worth a million to him right now, but I feel the itch to get out and work. I love being home with my boys, but feel like I am not helping enough financially. I know that I don't HAVE to work, Bill doesn't expect me to at all, but I feel better when I do help some. I feel like I'm important. Like I am contributing more than just being a wife and mother.
I cooked a ham the other night in the crock pot. We didn't eat it the night I cooked it cause mom bought us pizza that night, so tonight I am heating that up and I made some scalloped taters and garden green beans. I also had a zucchini in the fridge and I fried it up just cause it needed used, and I wanted it fried up before I spent the time scrubbing my greasy stove tomorrow morning. I hate cooking oily food on a clean stove! I fried tomatoes the other night, and wiped it down, but didn't scrub it yet, then last night I fried up bacon for BLT's and so tonight after the fried zucchini I will finally de-grease the stove and scrub it down a lot. It needs it!
I made up my cezar pasta salad and my bacon ranch pasta salad for tomorrow nights Anniversary Party. Tomorrow I have some leftover lettuce from BLT's and I think I will whip up a simple layered lettuce. That sounds soooo good! I love layered lettuce. I can eat lettuce pretty well after surgery. It doesn't bother me like some things do going down. It's so watery that it just melts in my mouth!
I really need to vacuum and sweep and mop my floors tomorrow morning if I don't get to it tonight. It's been over a week since I've taken the time to do them. They don't look awful, but need some cleaning in places, especially under the kitchen table and around the counter and stove where I cook the most! I am kinda a messy cook... Oops! I have laundry going tonight and will finish that tomorrow too. Tomorrow... boy theres a LOT to do! Ha ha.. it never ends around here.
I had to water all my flowers tonight. I'm sure the next few nights for this week I will have to go out and water. It's supposed to be soooo HOT and I don't want them to die because of drying out and the heat.
The day before the garage sale I finally got my front door closet cleaned out! It's the last closet I hadn't touched it since we moved in. I had about 6 boxes of knick knacks and things in there to go through. I had coats to hang up and organize and crap to sort. I took all the pictures out of the picture frames to sell, and then kept the photos to put in an album. I got rid of all my knick knacks that I didn't want anymore and then packed up the things that I want to keep and then condensed it all to one tote of stuff. I am soooo thrilled to finally have this one task accomplished. Now the only thing on my to do list is go through the stuff in the basement. I have a few things to sort and go through down there. Not looking forward to that! I don't want to go in the snake pit... ha haha.
Well I am off. I am going to make the boys a plate, feed them, get showers and get them in bed so I can chill out with a glass of wine and go to sleep like a baby!

My journey to date...
Yesterday after posting my blog I realized that I hadn't really updated on weight loss much lately. I am up to 125 lbs lost. I feel spectacular! I am so happy with my progress and my success so far. I am happy with the way I feel, the way I look and they whole process in a nut shell.
I took some time to re read my Feburary posts yesterday and boy was that a ROUGH month! I sure feel like I have made such amazing turn around since then! I have forgotten just how miserable I was 5 months ago right after surgery, until I read all about it and re live all those awful days. I was sure miserable back then! I have almost forgotten all the pain and suffering and long miserable days and nights of pain I endured to get to this point. I know it's been hard at times, but until I re read all the entries I forgot just how awful I felt!
Here is some progress pics! These were taken around the 120 lb mark. Here is my before and after front shots

Whew, just thinking about it makes me tired!
Independence Day is over. The party's are over. The busy fun is over. Whew... I am exhausted. My house was a mess and this week is next in line for another BUSY BUSY time.
I got up today and unloaded and re loaded the dish washer. I had a sink full of dishes left over from Sunday night's impromptu cookout. I also had to clean off the patio, pick up the trash from fireworks and sweep up from the poppers. I started a load of laundry, unloaded and re loaded the dishwasher for the second time, switched laundry around again, picked up all the out of place things in the house, switched laundry around again, wiped down the bathroom, went outside and watered my flowers, then I put in the last load of laundry. I fixed up some leftovers for the boys for lunch and watched the Casey Anthony verdict. I am totally pissed about the outcome. I really think that lying little rip got off scott free, but she will eventually meet her maker one day and have to face up to her punishment then. Ugh... soooo frustrated about the whole darned thing.
I am about done working around here, then I have to get ready to go to a visitation for a friends mother who passed away. I'm taking the boys to Bevs while I go to the funeral home, then I will come back home and finish up folding and putting away all this clean laundry. Tomorrow is the funeral for my mom's cousin Richard who passed away over the weekend, so I am meeting up with Grandma and Susan in the morning and heading to Keokuk for the services. Tomorrow night is Coles baseball tournament in Payson. If he wins they advance, if he loses then they are all done for the season. He's so excited for the game tomorrow. They have played so well the last few games. I hope he does well again with this one.
Friday morning I am leaving for Rockford for Brians wedding. The boys are staying home with Grandma and the Aunts and Bill will also be around. I will be gone from Friday to Sunday. When I get home I have to get the rest of the garage sale stuff pulled out and all ready to haul to town. I don't have much to go through, but it will be a relief to get it all done finally. I also have to help Grandma with her garage sale stuff too.
Whew, I am tired just thinking about the next couple weeks. I want to get as much done as fast as I can so I can take some time and ENJOY this new house. I hope that things will settle down a bit soon! It just always seems that the weeks fill up so soon lately. I can't keep it all straight without my handy dandy calendar, but then I also still seem to mess things up at times! oops! Just too much going on in life at times!
Bill is busy baling hay lately. It's finally been dry enough for him to mow, rake and bale and he's slamming the hay while he can! He loves this time of year.
Well this chicks signing off for the shower. Have a fantastic week ya all! Stay cool and have FUN!!!
